Eckart Weeck
Eckart has over 40 years of direct investment and portfolio management experience.
Eckart began his investment career in 1982 with a small regional brokerage firm in the Philadelphia area. One of his early mentors gave him a copy of the 1985 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report to read and study and it was a revelation. Eckart discovered a rational, well-reasoned approach for analyzing the value of individual securities. Most important was the observation that the red and green flashing numbers on the screen are not just a daily scorecard; they represent fractional ownership interests in companies and should be thought about in the same manner that the owner of a private company thinks about their ownership stake in a business. As a practical matter, this means remaining unconcerned by the sometimes manic-depressive behavior of the stock market and taking advantage of the accompanying extreme price volatility. In short, this approach is a strategy for assembling a carefully constructed investment portfolio that Eckart has been utilizing to successfully manage client portfolios, generating attractive returns for almost 40 years.
Eckart has a B.A. in Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is an avid runner and longtime member of the Hoboken Harriers Running
